Travellers Club Mombasa Malindi Road, Bamburi Beach Mombasa, Kenya3 star Travellers Club on North Mombasa Coast, Kenya. 158 rooms. Good location right on Bamburi Beach and is ideal for couples and families looking for a holiday in the sun. All Inclusive. Two outdoor swimming pools. Buffet restaurant •Indian à la carte restaurant •Italian à la carte restaurant. . Stayed at the Travellers Club Hotel in Mombasa with my 20yr daughter. The staff were lovely and very helpful, the meals were nice but slightly repetitive, the rooms were fine but somewhat dated, my bed was very hard. The beach boys can make you feel as if you don’t want to venture onto the beach but they are harmless and can do you much cheaper safari deals than the hotel. . We all had a brilliant trip hotel food staff first class would recommend this hotel lively and clean food brilliant staff very freindly. . I really enjoyed this holiday, the hotel was a little tired and needs an updation, but the staff were very friendly and helpfull. . Rooms are spacious with a big mossie net, Pool is great with plenty of sunbeds, collect your towels from the pool attendants and off you go. Hotel is right on the beach, Beach boys pester you but they are only trying to make a living and they are friendly but very poor. The staff at the hotel are brilliant. Don't expect much from the all inclusive bar: on trying beer and wine I had to check that I wasn't given detergent or washing-up water first! Also, what kind of all inclusive deal is this in a hot country like Kenya when bottles of water must be purchased?!! Where we stayed there was a small very sandy beach it was beautiful, the only thing is the sales people they are at you as soon as you hit the beach!! Take plenty of notepads, pens and pencils they are desparate for these for their kids. Great hotel with lovely decorations and facilities...loved the peacocks outside the tennis courts! Really friendly and helpful staff - from the pool cleaner to our housekeeper and particularly the restaurant staff who really made an effort in getting to know the hotel guests. Hotel seemed ok. we were all inclusive so the drinks were not a problem and was served quickly, but seeing it was so hot we had to ask for ice in the drinks every time. Hotel was very clean and well run.The background music in the hotel was the same over and over again every day.I did mention it at reception but it didnot change. The entertainment was pretty poor. This hotel was wonderful. This was pretty much entirely down to the staff. Each and every member of staff would greet you with a "Jambo" as you walked past, be it a waiter, a barman or just a pool cleaner. The food was good (if not a little repetitive. Also be aware that as an all inclusive person you do only get free food in 1 restaurant but you do get a good discount from the restaurants in the 'hotel' section). The entertainment during the day was great and the team tried really hard to make it fun even with such few people around. Waiter and bar staff were awesome Travellers Club Mombasa booked through Thomas Cook - Large airy rooms mosquito nets provided bathroom could do with upgrade but everything very clean. Bottled water renewed every day also room sprayed for mozzies every day. Buffet for all meals plenty of choice also poolside snacks + drinks included. Right on lovely sandy beach some activities included. Beware beach traders, on site shop often cheaper and they will also negotiate prices. A wonderful holiday as usual (our family go every year for 3 weeks in July ). We are welcomed as friends and have never been disappointed, can't wait to return again this year. don't be afraid of going on the beach to book a safari, they will look after you and is much cheaper than the hotel. If you want a boat trip go to the beach. You will be sure to have a fantastic time Great holiday at Travellers Club in Mombasa. I enjoyed it so much that I am off there January 2008 again. Great Staff, Clean, Friendly and lots of activities to do. Only bad point was people saving sun beds and not using them all day.
