Situated along Bamburi's beach, this recently renovated hotel is modern yet traditionally stylish, offering a relaxing getaway for adults. Not the best hotel on this beach, but good value for money. Its only 3 star, though its advertised as 4.

. The hotel itself is very spacious with lovely surroundings, great rooms with quiet and effecient air conditioning, good views and very friendly staff.

. It was a good stay and found it to be at a more reasonable price than many of the hotels in the same location. The pool was average and they provide towels. We enjoyed the pool bar for beers and drinks. It is not upscale but not a dive hotel.

The hotel staff are all very friendly and will do anything for you. The food served in the main restaurant is a la carte 5 nights a week, once a week they have a kenyan night and on a saturday it is a buffet night around the pool. The entertainment is low key, during the day the animation team will do water aerobics and water polo, there are always other activities on the board but these rarely happen, during the evening thet have different acts on such as kenyan dancers and acrobats. I would not upgrade to All Inclusive as not all the drinks are available on the All Inclusive package.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Plaza, the staff are excellent and the whole hotel is very clean. Cosmos rate this as a 3 star, the hotel calls itself 4 star, i would rate it at 3 and a half. The rooms have a TV, fridge, air con(struggles to cope with the humidity), safe and mozzie nets. The shower can sometimes be lukewarm or cold, but in Kenya's hot and humid weather, that can be a blessing.

The Plaza hotel was an excellent choice.The hotel is smaller than the others on this stretch of the beach.We were allocated the rooms at the very front of the hotel ,facing the ocean.The rooms are spacious with double bed and a single.There is TV ,airconditioning and safety deposit boxes all supplied free of charge.There is also a mini bar and the drinks are the same price as the bars! The shower is VERY large and hot water was always available. The food is very similar to that served in the other hotels we have stayed in in this resort. There is always a choice of pasta, meat or fish.
