Short story about Leopard Beach Diani
The sun shone brightly on Leopard Beach Diani, Kenya as the soft white sand between my toes. I could see the crystal clear ocean and the beautiful view of the horizon. I felt so lucky to be here and to experience this wonderful place.
The beach was bustling with people, from locals to tourists, everyone was enjoying the day. I could hear the gentle waves crashing against the shore and the sound of laughter coming from the nearby beach bars. I watched as children built sandcastles and swam in the cool waters.
I decided to take a walk down the beach, admiring the beauty around me. I spotted a variety of wildlife including sea turtles, dolphins and even a few leopards. It was so amazing to see these animals in their natural habitat.
As I continued to explore, I noticed a few locals selling treats and souvenirs from their small stands. I decided to purchase a few items, including a hand-carved wooden mask and some handmade jewelry.
After a few hours, I decided to head back to my hotel. On the way, I spotted a few small restaurants and bars. I decided to stop for dinner, and I was delighted to find a variety of delicious local dishes. I enjoyed a plate of spicy coconut curry and a cold beer.
The evening was just as beautiful as the day, with the sun setting over the horizon. I watched as the colors changed and the beach was lit up with a magical pink and orange hue. I was so glad I had visited this beautiful place and would definitely be coming back.
. We feel deceived by our travveler's agency, and thus by the hotel, what was sold on the website as a superior room was everything but supirior as it did not live up to the expectations shown by the photos. We were forced to pay 720 euros extra to upgrade a room.
. This is a beautiful hotel that needs an upgrade. Like said before in the reviews, the standard rooms are only 3 star rooms and certainly not 4,5 star. Rest of the hotel is not more than ok, but you will find the '80's back in every detail, from holes in the roof to degrading beachtowels.
. Spent my 50th birthday there recently and I couldn't have wished for a better venue. Excellent rooms, friendly staff, the food was first rate (both buffet & A La Carte). The fish platter at the A La Carte made for a great birthday meal. Didn't find the "Beach Boys" a problem at all.
. Standard rooms needs upgrade. Pink old bathrooms! Shower in a bath with wet ill fitting curtain. No tissues, shower cap or shampoo. Off-white worn towels. Dusty lamp stands & globes. Tacky glued green netting to sliding doors. Good entertainmnt and good food. Nice friendly staff.
. Be prepared to pay 50 dollars per day to upgrade to a decent room. The standard rooms are nowhere near 4 star quality. Grotty bathroom, hard grey towels, rough bedding. Rock hard mattress.
Spent two weeks at the Leopard Beach in Mombasa back in March. Hotel was quite nice, not up to the standard of some more western ones we have stayed in but seemed safe and clean enough. Food was reasonable, and it was near the beach. Local entertainment was interesting.
Leopard Beach Resort & Spa is like something out of a forgotten era. Open-plan areas and colonial accoutrements lend it an Out Of Africa air, with vast vaulted roof spaces, glossy tiled floors and muslin-draped daybeds. Pretty ponds and ornamental gardens plot a pathway to the poolside, as well as restaurants like the teak-deck Chui Grill, where seafood and steak are the order of the day. The bedrooms come in two varieties, a sea-facing cottage or a room in the main hotel. They come with all the usual suspects such as a minibar, air-conditioning and TV.
first time in Africa and I was a bit apprehensive but my boyfriend persuaded me to go, and it was an amazing trip! the hotel had everything we needed, the food was so good and cooked in front of us which was reassuring. right on the beach too, we could just wonder out of our room onto it.
The staff are only too willing to help in any way they can. The Hotel is set in Beautiful grounds that are maintained daily by a huge numbe of staff, and the area around the "adult only" pool is stunning (this is also where you will find the well equiped Gym and Spa area of the hotel The other pool, which I'd descride as a lagoon pool is set just off the beach and has 2 bars and a "snack bar" for the usual pizza's and burger's, although they are of an excellent quality
We felt like we got a great deal on our two week stay here... we had a garden view which was a 5 minute walk from the hotel and beach, but the grounds are superb and it was fun to be amongst all the monkeys. The private beach is a little small and it was a pain being hassled by sales people along the beach when we wandered off the private beach. we wanted a relaxing stay after a stressful year at work and this hotel did the trick.
We were booked to stay at the Leopard Beach Hotel for our honeymoon and were not at all impressed. We arrived with several of our wedding guests to a very cold welcome. Our rooms were not ready and we received no apology. When we were finally allocated to our rooms, we, plus all our guests found them quite dirty and untidy. We had asked for a honeymoon suite for ourselves and were sad to find out that we had been allocated to a normal room.
