Fishing at Hemingways Watamu is better than any place that I have fished aroung the world.The hotel managment and staff all outstanding.The rooms very good and food quality and choices could not be better.

We had a great stay at Hemingways Watamu. I have previously stayed at two other places on the Kenyan coast, and Hemingways is the best. The staff was polite, helpful and caring. The food was great, beyond my expectations.

The pool staff are stunning, friendly and very quick with their service. We were lucky enough to be able to fish, that was an experience of a lifetime. From the meals right through to the snorkling, at the risk of gushing, it was truly a really relaxing holiday of a lifetime, can't wait to go back.

We visited Hemingways at the end of July, and the beach was swamped with algae (my three year old son was going up to his knees in algae). So there was no beach. In any case, the beach in front of the hotel is full of corals so it would be uncomfortable for bathing. The rooms were spacious, the bathrooms with shower and bath, the windows are floor to ceiling, the bed very comfy. There is a minibar (fridge) and coffee machine in the room.

Lovely staff, really nice newly decorated rooms, excellent food, outstanding service from genuinely nice people. We can't wait to go back - we enjoyed it soooo much.
