The Lodge has 52 standard rooms, all with bath and shower and a balcony with a view of the vast wilderness and floodlit water holes. Superb location but basic accomodation. Ngulia Safari Camp offers guests an unforgettable African safari experience. From the personalized service to the incredible wildlife viewing opportunities, Ngulia Safari Camp is the perfect destination for a memorable safari in Kenya. Clean but small and basic.Rooms tired but bed comfy with plenty of hot water and mosquito nets provided.Plug in fans if needed in the room.Balcony and dining room views of the water hole and leopard feeding point excellent.Has its own small swimming pool which was clean. We stayed for one night on our safari, ngulia lodge is absolutely amazing, the views are breathtaking. The rooms are quite basic but perfectly adequate. The food was good and the evening entertainment was very exciting. Spectacular views. Active water hole only a few metres away from the terrace frequently visited by elephants and other game. Poor quality accommodation. This place is in desperate need of proper (all over) renovations. Plumbing is old and rusted. No aircon or fan in the room. This hotel is in a fantastic location with uninterupted views of the African Savannah. The staff were very helpful and friendly as in all Kenyan venues. The food was average, but the standard of the rooms was very poor and made the stay unbearable. Ngulia lodge is a very old building, The wall is paper thin and you can hear everytime anyone open and close the doors and everytime people talk, so for the light sleepers who want to get a good night sleep, I suggest to bring ear plugs. The accomodation is good, the bed is comfie with mosquito net and there is hot shower. The Location on an escarpment is Great, Ngulia Lodge is a must visit in Tsavo West. The rooms have a removable tented front, which gives an experience of being in a tent, though with all the comforts of a hotel room. Ask for room 1 to six 6. At night the generator goes of, it is advisable to carry your own flashlight! Food was not more than accatable. Service from the friendly staffs was quite good. Nice hotel situated high on a mountain. Fantastic view over the area. The food is excellent. Pity though there were so many beetles that came to sit on you or on the table. We saw a leopard and somed other animals. This was the last lodge that we stayed in during our safari. After failing to see the leopard to this point, the lodge was our last hope! From the hotel's bar/dining area there is an excellent view across the mountains. There is a watering hole and viewing area, where the staff place bait each evening to attract leopards. Unfortunately for us, the leopard didn't come while we were there. Luckily we spotted one on the last morning of our safari as we left the park. The rooms were pleasant and clean, the food good and staff nice. Everything you need after a day on safari. Reviews of resorts and places in Kenya |
