Royal Reserve Safari and Beach Club Kikambala Reviews.Royal Reserve Safari & Beach Club is RCI affiliated Resort with Gold Crown Status, set amongst coconut palm groves on the white sandy beach at Kikambala, 30 km north of Mombasa town. The resort comprises of 46 units of one and two bedroom apartments. Most are quite luxurious but some are tired and you can even self cater sometimes if you wish. Great kid's facilities and activities that will entertain them all day long while allowing parents to relax.. My wife and I stayed here for two weeks in March and had a wonderful relaxing time. The appartment ( D23 ) was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The staff were absolutely amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them. The pools were excellent. The food here was very good with a comprehensive range of dishes on the menu. The evening entertainment was interesting ranging from Masai dancing, acrobatics and magic tricks. We hope we will be able to return in the near future to this excellent resort. . I don't think we have ever been anywhere where ALL the staff were so nice. They couldn't do enough for you. We had a nice apartment - spotlessly clean overlooking the pool. Yes, it is a little dated particularly the bathroom and the kitchen but how much time do you spend in your room? And the bed was really comfortable. Although the Royal Reserve is nice, there is very little around it. If you want lots of choices of restaurants then don't go here! A week was nice - anymore would have been a bit boring. . The hotel was fantastic, clean and nice. Wonderful and amazing people who were incredibly service minded. Do not be afraid for the beach boys they do everything to make your vacation wonderful. We had four guys Kasim, Francis, Jimmy, Moses, who helped us with everything we needed. Book Safar and snorkel with these guys 30-40% cheaper than booking through the hotel and it is exactly the same trips. We highly recommend this hotel and these guys from the beach. . My girlfriend and I had the most wonderful three weeks at the Royal Reserve. And the key to a fabulous holiday - the beach boys. We decided not to book anything in advance and we really benefitted from the decision. Not only were the rates from the beach boys much cheaper for exactly the same trips as the hotel but they were also totally flexible. The Royal Reserve accommodation was comfortable with bags of space. Although the decor was a little tired in our apartment, a refurbishment programme is in progress. The pool was clean and well-maintained and all the staff were cheerful and helpful. The food was excellent and particularly good value. . Hotel rooms are dated but perfectly adequate. We stayed in rooms across the road which I believe are newer and have modern aircon. The staff are fabulous, without exception, and cannot do enough for you. The standard of cooking and quality of food is outstanding although desserts are a little simple. Had a great holiday and would have no hesitation in recommending it.
