Although the higher percentage of reviews are all negative in some way or another, we believe you should discount most pre 2018 reviews as the place has just had a major renovation.

Located in a private gated residential estate, the Christar is less than 1 km from Bob Marley Museum. It has a restaurant with continental breakfast and a well stocked bar. There is also a small swimming pool and sun terrace.

This hotel is 4 km from Hope Gardens, and 1.3 km from Devon House & the United States Embassy. University of the West Indies is a 12-minute drive away.

Providing the management and staff live up to the new image, Christar could move up in the ranks of small hotels in Kingston. Although the price starting at $130 is not cheap, it is well located close to town.
