Reggae Beach is an exclusive 250 acre property located in Jamaica,on the outskirts of Ocho Rios towards Oracabessa. It has since been renamed to Bamboo Beach. A quieter, less crowded beach thats considered one of Jamaica's best-kept secrets.
The beach is a beautiful long stretch of sand protected by cliffs on either end. Soak up the rays on the beach or pull your chair right into the sea for a refreshing treat.
There are three bars located on the soft sandy beach with a range of great food and drinks. In the evenings, dinner and music under the Caribbean stars with a choice of beach food, the fish and lobster is a must. During the day enjoy soft reggae music and great Jamaican hospitality as you cool out under the palm trees with a fresh fruit cocktails with fresh native fruits such as: Mangoes, Naseberry, Pineapple, Sugar Cane, Papaya, Guineps or Guava at the local Beach Bar and gaze out across the white sands into the blue Caribbean sea.
There are many things about the now renamed Bamboo Beach that you can do like Kayak along the coastline, or experience a seaside massage or hike the natural trails but one of the amazing highlights of the beach is the hundred year old palm trees and sprawling almond trees that line the shores, catching a sunset there would be an experience that is unforgettable for any traveller.
In the evenings, Reggae beach comes to life with music and entertainment which is no doubt one of the most unique cultural experiences youll ever encounter. Witness Jamaican dancers, reggae drummers, singers and acrobats dressed in some colourful costumes entertaining through the day with high energy songs and shows.
Reggae Beach is renowned for its Friday after work jam which continues up until one in the morning with live bands, DJs and a bonfire. In 2010, Reggae Beach (now known as Bamboo Beach Club) was voted by readers as the Greatest Cultural Tourism Experience in Jamaica. View our exclusive Photo Gallery |
