"Excellent Renovations
The hotel RocaMar is a sister of hotels on the exact same waterside. This hotel is still being renovated but at really high specs! They will certainly be a 4 to five star upon completion! The breakfast was awesome and they utilize high quality food. Also go to the omelet station as the woman is lovely! My space was very new. It still had dust along the flooring boards and windows that need attention. The beds are okay, but the pillows are very soft. The kitchen had whatever you would require to prepare a meal. The air conditioner wasn't working most nights, however I did signal the manager. This is a beautiful property and I will definitely return! Love it!"

My hubby and I looked forward to our vacation in the island we like.
We picked Royal Orchid since it was near to the sea, with fantastic views. We got to the Hotel and it was whatever we hoped for. Our space with a separate bed room and bathroom, with a big balcony location exceptional. Personnel at Royal Orchid could not have been more friendly and helpful, Especially the young lady at reception who help sort out things when are taxi was late. Cleaners so diligent, space was kept spotless every day.
BUT Unfortunately we needed to take our meals in the sis hotel adjoining our Hotel

Was a bit taken a back. I lived on cheese and biscuits. Would not recommend unless you like rustic type cuisine. Strangest breakfast I have ever seen. Thank goodness for bread rolls and toast. We booked the Royal Orchid Hotel, moor expensive than the Rokamar Hotel, where the dinning room we had to utilize."
" Old hotel. Me and my partner didn't like this hotel. It is older, old made hotel and not a location for young couple (we are 29). Food wasn't proficient at all ... really few options.ll foods taste the very same. Everyday I strugled to discover something to eat. We are just back from our 3 weeks stay in Royal Orchid.The hotel is extremely good: charming location, extremely friendly and inviting personnel, spick-and-span. the Jacuzzi, sauna and swimming pool are nice.The junior suite we stayed in was nice, whatever was there for a comfortable stay.The shuttle to Funchal was quite appreciated. it was well organised with booking in advance. One thing that was a little bit disappointing was food. We were on Half board, it was ok, but we wouldn't call it excellent. We still took pleasure in staying in Royal Orchid and would remain there again when we concern check out Madeira. Thanks to all the personnel of the hotel."

Just back from a 7 day vacation, at the Royal Orchid in Caniço.Bed room furniture was extremely worn out, bed was tidy, hotel was clean. Food was terrible, managed a bit toast in the early morning, boiled eggs and fresh tomato was only on every other day. Went to the steakhouse for a good meal. smell from the drains in toilet was horrible. Attempting to get a beverage from the bar considered ever if there was a few in.we fulfill a charming couple who we made buddies with. However absolutely will not return"

" A gem on the way house. Though Madeira is known for its excellent weather condition on October 13, 2019 when we had a flight scheduled it was raining. The flight was first delayed than cancelled due to strong winds. I need to say that TAP (Portugal airline company) was handling the crises extremely well. As it became clear that there was no wish for us to capture our plane to Tel Aviv even if we were getting here to Lisbon that day, we were taken by a cars and truck paid by the airline company to the Royal Orchid Hotel. The accommodation, meals and drink were paid by the airline. The Royal Orchid Hotel is located on the way to the airport, further from Funchal downtown, nevertheless for people with a rented cars and truck it should not make any distinction. There are regular buses connecting Canico and Funchal and a complimentary shuttle bus 3 times a day.
