There is just so much to say about Lothian Castle and pictures to show, but none of that can even come close to the actual once in a lifetime experience as a guest here. The spacious sitting and dining areas, make the Castle ideal for family time away, celebrations, corporate events or weddings. The Castle retains all the authentic historical style and great care has been taken to maintain the buildings royalty feeling, with a dash of 21st century luxury added. Steeped in history, the castle has encountered many key personalities in British history over the years including Mary Queen of Scots and Oliver Cromwell to name a few. The Castle features three incredibly stunning reception rooms, including The Great Hall, which can accommodate up to 80 guests for dining, The State Room, and The Garrison. The rooms are rich in beautifully carved, dark wood, colorful rugs and tapestries and sofas and cushions in sumptuous fabrics. Ornately carved furniture, framed mirrors,lamps and candles everywhere makes a unique cozy atmosphere. The royal shades of deep red, orange and gold are used throughout and beautiful open fireplaces and candelabras which adds an experience of wealthy Royal warmth. No cold draughty rooms in this historical castle. The incredibly striking and impressive bedrooms at Lothian Castle are all named after historical figures. With solid oak carved beds, floor to ceiling velvet curtains, and luxurious fabrics in royal shades of deep blue and gold, rich gray, plum and berry. Gorebridgeis a small town located in Midlothian, Scotland. It is located about 12 miles south-east of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. The town has a population of around 4,000 and is known for its scenic views and its proximity to the Pentland Hills.Gorebridge has a long history, with evidence of human settlement in the area dating back to the Iron Age. It was an important trading centre during the medieval period and was a royal burgh from 1595 to 1975. Today, Gorebridge is a popular tourist destination, known for its picturesque views of the surrounding countryside and its excellent outdoor activities. The Pentland Hills offer a range of activities, including walking, cycling, horse riding, climbing and golfing. The town also has a range of shops, pubs and restaurants, and a weekly farmers’ market. Gorebridge is also home to a variety of events throughout the year, including a carnival in June and a Scarecrow Festival in October. The town also hosts the annual Gorebridge Gala Day in August, which features live music and a range of stalls and events. |
