Located in the beautiful Fairy Hill and just over 1km from Jamaica's famous Boston Beach, the Polish Princess has a great location.
The villa is set back from the beach by a kilometer in its own lush gardens and surrounded by tropical greenery. Making it ideal for anyone seeking some tranquility and away from the maddening crowd and not bothered with the trappings of swimming pools. With a car, it makes an ideal base for exploring nearby towns, beaches and attractions.
There is a choice of rooms, either a double, twin or family double room with wardrobe, fans and a TV. Bathrooms are fitted with showers. Rooms also have either a balcony or open up directly onto a large veranda. As the nearest restaurant is over 3km away, in addition to breakfast, the owner can arrange lunches or dinners for guests at a reasonable cost.
The property has a large veranda with a flat screen TV and seating that opens onto the lush gardens, where guests can enjoy meals or just chill a while.
Winnifred Beach can be reached in a 5-minute drive from Polish Princess and the Boston Jerk Centre is 1.4 km away.
At this point, we normally say some general things about Polish princess, but one very recent guest said it all and we quote here;
"Boy did this hostess go above and beyond to cater to things I had no idea I needed. We arrived later than expected due to traffic and did not have the hotel's number on hand to phone in. When we arrived, guess who was waiting for us? She and the rest of staff were so accommodating and so genuine that they made our stay heavenly. The breakfast was oh-my-God amazing and so pretty in presentation. The flora around the property gives you a sense of calm and tranquility while on your stay here. The rooms are immaculate! Everything in our room was fresh and crisp. Hot water is available along with shampoo and shower gel. These little extra touches are always appreciated by forgetful travelers such as myself lol! We even got complimentary alkaline water. The location is absolutely perfect. You can grab a cab and go anywhere. The closest beach is 20 minutes walk away but taxis are always jetting by so you can just hail one and go! Check-in was a breeze but that doesn't mean we were rushed. A pool table available in the common area for leisure if the beach doesn't interest you. If you want to feel as if you are visiting your favorite aunt in Portland, Polish Princess is the only place to stay."
Summary.
A guest house that has 'Princess' in it's name, located on 'Fairy' Hill? Seems many guests at Polish Princess find small miracles do happen here and find their stay very 'magical'!
The only negative reviews were from a while ago with one featuring an obviously very rude guest and the other was out of the owners control.
With soooooo many recent reviews praising not only the owner but the Polish Princess accommodation itself, what can we say? And, we note TripAdviser have rated Polish Princess in the top 3 of all Port Antonio guest houses. Certainly, if I needed somewhere to stay in the area that was safe, spacious, clean and beautiful with fantastic staff, there would be no hesitation.
Taking into account the wonderful all round reviews of Polish Princess, we have to give it 3 stars. |
