"The hotel is big and has entered into age. For us it is more a 4 as a 5 star hotel. The reception personnel is very professional. Our superior space was nice and clean. The food and the breakfast they serve can be much better. The day spa and especially the sauna and steam room are not cutting-edge a requirements remodelling."
" Wonderful Stay at Beautiful, Relaxing Resort.
One of the best hotels that I have actually been to. The resort is spotless, with the most beautiful, semi-private, beach we had seen on the whole Algarve coast.
Our space was considerable, tidy, peaceful and personal - all while offering a beautiful view of their manicured gardens and the sea off in the distance.
The service was impeccable, friendly and attentive. The dining establishments were also surprisingly great, a lot so that we invested the majority of our stay in resort rather than take a trip about, as at first planned."
" The beach makes this hotel worth it! Wonderful stay! Every day we went out exploring the location we were so delighted to return to our property! Besides the beautiful grounds and numerous pools on the home, you essentially have your own private beach. In theory, I believe anyone could enjoy this beach from another entrance point, but throughout our 5-day stay it was uncrowded and for the most part, only accessed by other hotel visitors. You seemed like you had the location to yourself!
The breakfast was great and our space was comfortable and really roomy (though a bit dated and we just weren't that pleased with it). A lot of amenities from tennis courts to beaches and pools plus, numerous inviting areas to sit and relax throughout the beautifully manicured property.
I would only give this property a 4 if it weren't for the remarkable Beach area and beautiful premises. None the less, I would remain here again and suggest it to other tourists (specifically after being out and about all over the Algarve region).".
" Incredible Views and Great Staff! This hotel needs to have the most amazing views in Algarve! As with many everything else in the location, the property is positioned 'in layers' as it is very sloping terrain, and this just adds to the incredible environments. Staff was really friendly, mindful and practical. The residential or commercial property has several pools and beach access, which I imagine minimizes that crowded feeling and the need to scamper outside at daybreak to grab a chair poolside throughout the peak season.
If TripAdvisor allowed for 4.5 star ranking, I would have considered that merely since I didn't feel that the space itself had a complete 5-star feel to it. We had a Jr. Suite Sea View Room, so it wasn't a matter of not choosing one of the better room categories. The space was extremely large with plenty of storage and the bed was comfortable. I comprehend the decor is suggested to be an extension of the view outside, however the all white furnishings and odd flooring made the space feel plain and 'cold' rather than inviting. The floor covering felt almost like Sunbrella material that you find on outside furnishings, instead of carpeting, wood, or tile. While the towels were big and thick (which I love!), there was actually just adequate towels for each of us; no additionals. Naturally, these are small things, but arriving here after a stay at a Ritz Four Seasons property, I felt a little disappointed in the room. But would I return - yes!".
" Exceeded expectations in every method. Pure luxury in an intimate setting. Service remarkable, gardens lavish and well manicured, our space was big and with a nice personal veranda. The resort is well positioned and its private beach is top notch. Buffet breakfast was exceptional and comes consisted of. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and this hotel and its staff made this event additional special. Every team member on site is useful, kind and mindful. Dining establishments outstanding quality and fabulous ambiance. The views here are unequaled. Well done on your dedication to sustainability".
" Stunning beach and splurge at the Vilalara resort (apparently the first resort in the Algarve). Found on cliffs overlooking the Praia Das Gaivotas, beautiful plentiful gardens, Gaudi-esque architecture, salt and fresh water swimming pools, excellent day spa, scrumptious food and super attentive personnel. Front desk personnel made outstanding recommendations and booked restaurant bookings at wonderful locations nearby for us, along with a kayak journey that ended up being personal (due to the fact that I went on the very first one of the day) at the Benagil caverns. Delighted in conversations with the many individuals we met there from all over the world. SUP trip along the coast with my daughter (can lease SUPs and kayaks at the property) and birthday event for my mom (the staff at the B&G dining establishment made it so special) were guaranteed highlights. Medical spa has many luxurious treatments and fascinating classes. Truly amazed!".
" More kids than Disneyland. My other half and I chose this place believing it would be primarily grownups as it's promoted as a health spa/retreat. Not the case in the least bit. Given we went early August and it's an awful time for travel. The resort was loaded, hard to discover lounge chairs on the beach or poolside. There were a lot of families with yelling children. Very little in the way of relaxation. Saw a kid sneeze twice on a platter of kiwi at the breakfast buffet. It was a problem. Staff was nice however would never ever go back to the resort again. Even off season not exactly sure how incredible it would be. The beach is quite little and has a tremendous quantity of seaweed."
