"5 star payment for 3 star arrangement. My sweetheart and I stayed in the Vilamoura for 2 nights throughout our summer season break after an initial week in Lagos. The rate of our stay was a sign of the hotel's area, in quite a wealthy location of the Algarve and also mentioned it's 5 star rating.
Reception were warm and lodging at all times, storing our baggage on arrival and organizing an airport transfer for our departure. The breakfast buffet was well equipped and the outside seating was a charming alternative for dining. The dinner buffet was alright however i would not hurry back to it. The room itself was clean and large. The balcony once again was a great addition both practically for drying clothes and for relaxation at numerous points in the day.
However, I have experienced all of the above at 4 star facilities for a more reasonable cost.
I did not feel we got worth for cash throughout our stay as we incurred a number of extra albeit optional costs.
The costs for both food and drinks in the Seafront restaurant and bar are absurd. EUR9 for a beer saw me purchasing alcohol from the local grocery store afterwards. My boyfriend's lunch portion was so little that I shared my wrap and chips with him.
Use of the indoor spa/pool area cost an additional EUR12, an expense that I would motivate others to avoid as the pools were cold and the tiles cracked.

" We remained at this hotel after the original hotel we had booked closed for remodellings. When I arrived I liked the hotel, really contemporary, large terrific facilities, the pool and Medical spa were great and the spaces and place near the beach were ideal. Breakfast was the best I have actually ever had. When I saw the area of the original hotel we had actually reserved, which was on the marina, I preferred this hotel and location as I like the beach. I would not be reluctant to stay at this hotel again."

Only downside was the coffee was extremely poor. Really required the alternative of a lunchroom or comparable. The makers just didn't cut it.
Swimming pool area pristine. No issues getting a sun bed. Often just 2-3 couples around the swimming pool. Water was cold, but for early November maybe not uncommon! The sea was really warmer.
Junior suite sea view was well worth the upgrade.
Fresh fruit on arrival was a bonus.
Water/coffee renewed every day.

" Once again we had a terrific stay at the Crowne Plaza. We have actually stayed there often times and the experience just improves on each celebration. The personnel are terrific and can refrain from doing enough for you - any request is welcomed with a smile and instant action. Reception staff are particularly attentive and welcoming.Breakfast is a delight and the house cleaning is slick and unobtrusive.We can not wait to return in the spring - we would have gone at Christmas however alas they will be closed."

Gotten here in the late morning and informed we were to be updated, room wasn't quite prepared so had an hour wait but that was great so we had a wander about and had a beverage.
The hotel is really spacious, clean and well created.
The personnel really are 1st class and so friendly, the lady on reception gave us some good recommendations on where to go etc when we told her this was our first Portugal go to.
The room was absolutely worth the wait, definitely incredible and the veranda views are sensational.
We only had breakfast however I can say that we were exceptionally amazed, there is something for all tastes and whatever is very well set out and really abundant. Worth pointing out also that the dining-room is extremely well staffed and extremely tidy.
Pool is wonderful, big with many sun beds for everybody.
Going to the Health spa tomorrow, sure it will be fantastic.

Vilamoura is actually lovely and so many places to consume around the marina area and in other places.
Beach is huge but sea is cold, exact same sea as uk so exact same temperature.
Overall an actually fantastic experience and we spent more time in our hotel on the terrace than we have anywhere on any other holiday.
It was also my other half's 50th birthday and she was dealt with to a bottle of champagne and a birthday cake in the room. Could not have been much better she was so delighted.

" We have stayed in Vilamoura many times but never ever here before. We will return. We had a great vacation and were extremely satisfied with what the Crowne Plaza provides. Our space was outstanding. It had a lot of area, the bed was comfortable and the space was cleaned every day. The bathroom was large with a good sized shower. The swimming pool area was spick-and-span and there was lots of area in the big pool (maybe due to the fact that the water was cold). The attendants were great at arranging towels and parasols and the swimming pool bar served drinks and food efficiently. The reception personnel were exceptional and very friendly.
The major difference between this and other regional hotels was the breakfast. The choice of hot and cold meals was stunning. There was plenty of seating area and lots of personnel working away quietly. The only thing to spoil it was the loud groups of golf players who demanded yelling across numerous tables thinking they were separated from their pals by a whole fairway."
