"Nice hotel, place truly good 15 minutes stroll to Alvor town, our space was actually good and really spacious, the staff at the hotel were extremely friendly especially at the swimming pool bar, the something that let the hotel down severely was the food which was dreadful, we spoke to other visitors who all believed the very same. During our stay there were some children on a school trip and they were extremely severely acted triggering mayhem around the swimming pool and taking inflatables from families, they were also extremely loud into the early hours and the hotel did nothing about this which wasn't very fair on us and other families looking for a relaxing vacation, I found myself needing to speak to them on various occasions. Due to the bad food we most likely wouldn't return to this hotel which is an embarassment due to the fact that it has a lot going for it if they sort the food out."

" We have simply invested 7 days all inclusive at Alvor Baia. It was an excellent experience.
Lodging was outstanding.
Home entertainment particularly the Alvor Baia Home entertainment staff were exceptional. I have a 15 year old lady and she made loads of friends through these men.
Food and beverage was the best I have actually had at an all inclusive hotel.
But the friendliness and tidiness were the main locations we enjoyed. Will be back next year."

" We visited this hotel in June 2023 with a 2 year old and 3 month infant. In addition to another family.
First impressions were wow what an extraordinary big hotel.
Upon entry we were revealed to our rooms and offered help with our luggage.
Rooms
Pros:
Really spacious.
Cleaners were spick-and-span.
2x televisions
Large shower/bath area.
Negatives:
there is a little wall which the veranda rails rest on which would be simple sufficient for a kid to climb.
Dining establishments:
Never had to wait to be seated,
Plenty of choice for kids and picky eaters.
The kebabs were amazing and used every lunch time.
Bar & home entertainment.
The swimming pool side park was constantly very busy, always needed to stand in a line for about 10 minutes to wait on a drink which isn't ideal with children. Nevertheless the indoor bar on the lower ground was never ever hectic, simply a pain you weren't allowed to take beverages out.
Entertainment:
I found the night home entertainment to be rather bad, a small mini disco every night for kids. However the home entertainment after wasn't worth viewing and mainly in their own language (can't complain I'm going to a foreign nation).
There also was no where near adequate seats for the size of the hotel.
Place:
We had a coach transfer which did take around 1.5 hours, the regional town was around a 10 minute walk but personally didn't think the town had a lot going on.
Overall, I would return to this hotel if I had it at an excellent cost, nevertheless we paid ₤ 2500 for 1 week which I personally think there is much better hotels for comparable money."

" Charming hotel and made our stay really special. The spaces are beautiful and extremely comfy. The pool is huge and sunbed availability is never ever an issue. We went to here on our birthday and the lovely personnel gave us champagne and cakes. Such a charming touch. Yes, the food wasn't Michelin Star level, but it's basic all inclusive fare and anticipated and did the job. Animation staff were fantastic, welcoming and friendly and constantly up for a little banter. We'll be returning here once again without a doubt."

" Wonderful hotel. Spotless & very efficiently run. Personnel very professional & efficient. Spaces huge, beds extremely comfy, abnormally huge terraces. Hygiene requirements really high. Dazzling area. My only suggestive remark is the background music played during breakfast times ... space is loud enough no need for it !! Thank you to management & all the personnel for excellent stay"

" We simply returned from a 1 week visit to Alvor. We have actually stayed in other parts of Portugal in the past such as Albufeira in other hotels as self catering and vacation homes but this was our very first all inclusive experience in Portugal.
The rooms were so roomy, 2 television's and a kitchen area to keep treats and beverages. Big bathroom with sufficient area and a large balcony too. We had 2 spaces as we were a family of 5 and they positioned us right next door to each other which was so hassle-free. We did request this when we reserved so it was nice for them to satisfy the request.
The food was really nice for all inclusive and considering the bad evaluations I have seen I'm surprised what individuals in fact anticipate. They had a wide variety of food in addition to a buffet, desert bar and beverages location. They even had a kids's location with choosy bits such as nuggets, pizza, fish fingers etc for younger children and they changed the food options each night and even had styles such as "tapas night" and even a "barbeque night". I would state the drinks were fairly small, you had to make a couple of journeys throughout meal times to refill so we in some cases got two drinks to avoid getting up and down.
They had a recreation rooms which was a little out-of-date however we enjoyed playing pool together as a household it was an ideal laugh. They also had a health club and medical spa, which I did pay a visit to for a massage which was really peaceful and lovely and inexpensive! The fitness center is a little small, however there is a lot to do at this hotel if your a workout freak you can play tennis, basketball, football, aqua aerobics, paddle boarding and so on so you won't loose out on being bored.
The swimming pool was enormous, most significant swimming pool I've seen at a hotel, even when great deals of people were using the pool it seemed you still had a lot area to move it was insane! Loungers we're available, I think due to the fact that it wasn't peak season. We had rain on one day but that didn't mess up everything, they had great day time home entertainment such as bingo and quizzes for everyone to get involved in. They even had programs such as magic shows, larger quiz nights with performances and live vocalists. We brought card video games to play so on the quieter days we still had things to do.
Bus transfer and pick up from the beach for free which was so convenient and the reception staff were so useful in arranging our expeditions for us, even assisting get us complimentary transfers as we were a family, the ladies stuck out on reception, all very inviting and constantly came over to say hello.
If you do not fancy an all inclusive drink at the swimming pool bar go and pay Ricardo and Sergio a visit at the caffe bar inside, this bar isn't complimentary but the service and discussions deserve it. Both bartenders are charming and engage with you as soon as you sit or stand near the bar, they stimulate discussion.
Overall this is a great hotel, everywhere has defects, but we all enjoyed ourselves and we're grateful. I would not take too much notification towards the bad evaluations it appears personal. If your searching for a household friendly hotel, in a best location then I recommend reserving this!"

" The noisiest hotel we have actually ever remained in!!!
First of all the excellent. The hotel itself is extremely nice. It is big with a pool stretching throughout the majority of it. The pool wasn't too cold for the time of year and there is a terrific kids paddling swimming pool with a slide.
The rooms were really roomy and the partition extremely beneficial as we could position our 1 years of age in the space next to the bed room. Kitchenette had whatever we required and the space was cleaned daily.
If you like drinking beer this hotel might not be for you. We were all inclusive and the beer is served in practically funny sized small glasses. The food choice at breakfast and lunch was great although the same most days.
Now the bad. We were placed in a room beside the home entertainment stage regardless of plainly sticking with a 1 years of age. We provided it a chance on our opening night nevertheless the noise was deafening both on the veranda and in the rooms up until 11pm with dreadful dance music and a kids disco which for some reason began at 9pm. We were entrusted to no choice however to request a brand-new space the next day. The hotel kindly required and we were relocated to a room on the opposite side of the hotel which was a good 6-7 minute walk from the sound stage. This helped with the sound level in the bedroom however it was still noticeably loud on the veranda up until 11pm each night. We ended up costs w leach night with our headphones on the veranda just to listen to some excellent music!.
In general the hotel was great as was the food and centers. It was simply a pity that the entertainment needed to be shared so loudly with every guest whether they wanted to listen to it or not. I will attempt to upload a video of our first night veranda experience. Judge for yourselves!"
