About St Anthony:

St Anthony is a small village in Cornwall, England. It is situated on the eastern side of the Roseland peninsula, in the south of the county. The village is part of the civil parish of Gerrans and has a population of around 600.

St Anthony is an ancient site, with evidence of habitation dating back to the Iron Age. The village was likely named after a chapel dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua, which was built here during the medieval period. The chapel was in ruins by the eighteenth century and today, only the foundations remain.

St Anthony is a popular destination for tourists, due to its picturesque setting and its proximity to the coast. Its beaches are home to a variety of wildlife, including seals and seabirds, and the nearby waters offer excellent opportunities for sailing and fishing.

The village is also home to several historic buildings, such as St Anthony Castle, which was built in the late sixteenth century by Sir Walter Raleigh. The castle is now a popular tourist attraction, with guided tours available.

The village is also home to a number of shops and restaurants, as well as a post office and a pub. The village is served by a regular bus service and is close to a number of attractions, including the National Trust's Trelissick Garden and the Eden Project.

St Anthony is a charming village, offering a unique combination of history, natural beauty, and a vibrant community. It is a great place to visit and explore, and provides a wonderful insight into the traditional way of life in Cornwall.
