| About Lelant:Lelant is a small village located on the western side of Cornwall, England. It is situated approximately three miles from the town of St. Ives and is home to a population of around 1,500 people. The area has a rich history dating back to prehistoric times and is home to some of the oldest known buildings in the country. It is believed that the village has been inhabited since at least the Iron Age. In the 6th century, the area was part of the kingdom of Dumnonia and in the 12th century, it was part of the earldom of Cornwall. Today, Lelant is a quiet and peaceful village, surrounded by stunning scenery. The village is home to a number of independent businesses, including a number of traditional pubs and restaurants. There are also a range of shops and services available in the village, such as a post office, a pharmacy and a bakery. The area is home to a number of historic sites and attractions, including the Lelant Saltings Nature Reserve, which is home to over 100 acres of wetland habitats. The site is home to an array of wildlife, including a variety of birds, amphibians, mammals and invertebrates. The village also hosts a number of annual events and festivals, including the St Ives September Festival and the Lelant Village Fayre. Lelant is a beautiful village that is steeped in history and culture, and offers visitors a unique and enjoyable experience.
