There are a few small, local markets, and shops within a couple of minutes' walk. The town is accessible from the local bus and taxi rank about 10 mins walk away. Porty Hostel has common areas like a lounge and dining room (with a computer and internet WiFi), a practical kitchen equipped with all the pots and dishes and two outdoor spaces for relaxation. A choice a delicious Euro, US or Jam breakfast. Tea and coffee are at your disposal for free 24/7. Lunch and dinner can be ordered seperately. Though the communal areas are a little limited, the overall vibe and atmosphere definitely make up for it. Choice of a private double spacious room furnished with a queen size beb, bedside table, a table dress with mirror, a wall closet and a fan, perfect for couples or those seeking privacy from $35. Or, a roomy and comfortable dorm furnished with three bunk beds from $20. The room is equipped with a fan and a wall closet. As hostels go, the Porty is not a bad place if you want to eat, drink, smoke and enjoy some local culture amongst friendly people. Overall, 80% of visitors rated it good to superb. Many reported that the place needed more attention to keeping clean, despite enjoying their stay. |
