Apart from the casinos of Monte Carlo, there are numerous other adventures and experiences to be found in the principality. See the changing of the guards at 11.55am in front of the royal Palace, before exploring the plentiful shopping opportunities around Place du Casino, even if you are just there for a bit of window-shopping or celebrity-spotting. Poised on the cliffs just above the sea, the Oceanographic Museum, where the world-famous explore Jacques-Yves Cousteau was a director for 30 years, aims to educate and captivate visitors with its fascinating collection of marine life and interactive exhibitions.
You can also opt for an exploration of colourful plants and cacti, as well as enjoy the views of the sea from the Jardin Exotique, or head to the Jardin Animilier de Monaco to see the different animals and birds that are housed here among tranquil greenery. After a day of exploring the city, it is time to dress up and mingle among rich and famous at the Casino de Monte Carlo.
