Larnaca.
You’ll find stunning beaches, historical wonders, and a lively nightlife on a holiday in Larnaca. Spend your days relaxing on the vast swathes of sandy beaches, wandering down the picturesque rows of palm trees along the sea front, or uncovering the mysteries of ancient Cyprus on your holiday.

Close to the airport, and with a large choice of sea front hotels and apartments, you’ll find plenty to do in this picturesque resort. If you’d rather head further away, you’ll find some great resorts close to Larnaca’s airport. Ayia Napa is a clubber’s paradise, with plenty of upbeat bars to keep the party going well into the night. Alternatively, escape the hustle and bustle in idyllic Protaras or explore the fascinating sights in nearby Limassol.

Laze on the white sand of McKenzie beach, or bask in the sun on the palm lined Phinikoudes beach, two stunning blue flag beaches. Holidays in this resort on the south coast of Cyprus offer 25km of sandy beach and a vast array of restaurants, tavernas, cafes and bars to enjoy. The sea front at Phinikoudes is the place to head on your Larnaca holiday for the best night out, with its huge choice of places to eat and drink, and you can dance from dusk till dawn to the beat of world famous DJs during the summer months. A ten minute drive will take you to the picturesque and tranquil Faro Beach, of if you’d prefer more action on your holiday, Larnaca is home to the CTO beach with its water sports and volleyball tournament.

The oldest city in Cyprus, Larnaca, is home to Ayia Phaneromeni, a rock cavern with two chambers that is believed to hold magic properties. Head to the magnificent Greek Orthodox Church of Lazarus built around the tomb of the biblical Lazarus or wander around the archaeological sites and six town centre museums. If you’d prefer to take holidays to Larnaca during winter months, then visit the Salt Lake where you’ll see crowds of pink flamingos gathering.

Attractions.
One of Larnaca’s biggest attractions is the impressive Salt Lake, which is home to all kinds of migratory birds, including flamingos. Ancient Kition is also well-worth seeing, which features a number of fascinating temples and old city walls built on original Bronze Age temples. Another popular attraction is taking a fun camel ride through the surrounding countryside.

Diving.
The diving off Cyprus’ coast is fantastic, and well worth doing for experienced divers and beginners alike. The Alpha Divers School takes visitors down to the famous Zenobia ship wreck, considered one of the most fascinating in the world. The school also offers parasailing, kayaking and paddleboat's; something for all the family.

Festivals.
If you book your holiday to Larnaca for July, you’re in for a treat. Every year, the Larnaca Summer Festival is held, and the city explodes with music, shows, concerts and all kinds of entertainment. Carnival happens every March, and is another festival visitors love. Fancy dress, parades and lots of food are enjoyed by all.

Architecture.
Larnaca is some to some incredible architecture and Greek ruins. St Lazarus Church is a must-see on any sightseeing trip; dating back to the 9th century, it was built in worship of St Lazarus, and is impressively preserved today. The Choirokoitia Neolithic Settlement is one of the most famous, and UNESCO heritage sight dating from 7000 BC.
