Malgrat de Mar:

Malgrat de Mar or often called Costa Barcelona due to its close proximity to the city and has three beaches covering three miles with kiosks, bars, sun loungers and food never far away. Malgrat is steeped in history and sits between two of Costa Brava's most popular resorts, Calella and Lloret de Mar.

Malgrat's central blue flag beach is renowned for its facilities and quality. If your seeking a more relaxed quieter beach then Tordera Mouth beach is great. While Santa Susanna Conca Beach has everything a sports lover needs with parasailing, kayaking, windsurfing, water skiing or boat trips.
Malgrat de Mar offers a multitude of bars and restaurants and for all night partying, Lloret de Mar is not far away.

Malgrat de Mar is close to Water World which Europe’s largest water park and also Port Aventura theme park. Also close by there's Parc Frances Macia which is a fabulous children's park.

Enjoy the peace and tranquility of Can Campassol Park set around an old colonial home. For fabulous panoramic views of the coastline, climb up to El Castell an old pirate look out tower.
Malgrat has a good selection of authentic Spanish cuisine from tapas, fresh sea food and delicious meat dishes.

There's a great coastal train line so its easy to hop on board and go visiting picturesque villages and vibrant towns along the shore line or stay onboard for an hour to Barcelona.
In a nutshell, Malgrat de Mar is a family friendly location that has something to suit everyone from devoted culture vultures to sun-worshipping beach lovers.
