About the Copper Canyon Railway

The Copper Canyon RailwayThe Copper Canyon Railway (also known as "El Chepe") is one of Mexico's most scenic and famous train routes, offering travelers breathtaking views as it winds through the Copper Canyon (Barranca del Cobre) in the state of Chihuahua. This rail journey is renowned for its spectacular landscapes, which include dramatic canyons, rivers, waterfalls, and lush forests. Here's a bit more about it:

Key Highlights:
Copper Canyon is a series of six canyons in the Sierra Madre Occidental mountain range, larger and deeper in some parts than the Grand Canyon in the U.S.
El Chepe (Chihuahua al Pacífico) runs for about 400 miles (650 kilometers) from the city of Los Mochis in Sinaloa on the Pacific coast to Chihuahua City, deep in the interior of Mexico.
The journey crosses 39 bridges and passes through 86 tunnels, providing awe-inspiring views at every turn.
