Langton Castle also called Wedderburn Castle

Built in 1785 on the ruins of the previous castle, the property still retains the original walls. Now though Wedderburn Castle (Langton Castle) is an exclusive luxury twelve bedroom family house and now exclusively available for fully serviced weekend or weekly events. Every original feature is retained with added opulence and modern luxury resulting in a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere.
You'll have the entire Castle to yourself only sharing it with your own guests.

The castle is completely rural and set in beautiful lawned gardens overlooking woodlands and the distant hills with its own long driveway. The castle is totally private without any traffic noise.
Within the castle grounds there are two additional single bedroom cottages, a twin bedroom and a three bedroom cottage which can be hired giving a total accommodation for up to 42 guests.

The Dining Room has a massive solid oak table made in 1897 with seating for 24 guests.
The room has other tables which if used offer comfortable seats for 50 guests in total at dinners. The drawing room is equally spacious with ample comfortable sofas, armchairs and grand piano, ideal for relaxing by the open log fire.
And as you would expect in any luxury castle, there's east and west wings, an oval room with intoxicating views, a morning room and magnificent crystal chandeliers ballroom perfect for wedding, meetings or celebrations. There's also a full sized table billiards room.
The 14 luxury spacious bedrooms have huge windows and individually decorated with period furnishings. 9 of the bedrooms are en-suite but all have basins and there's shower rooms on the landing.

Outside in the lawned grounds outdoor entertainments can be arranged including clay shooting, falconry, quads, blindfold driving or even a full Highland Games. Tours and fishing can also be arranged. With lots of interesting places to explore nearby, this location of the Scottish Borders offers a lot. Whether walking or cycling there's lots of beautiful country and historic towns and sights to explore.
