This luxury hotel has over 600 reviews and most agree that Bowood is an absolutely stunning location and hotel and a great retreat for relaxation and weekend away. The only negatives we could find amongst the hundreds of reviews was around staff service and food. But we understand that this often fluctuates in all hotels. Overall though, we give the Bowood 9.5 out of 10 as a wonderful, spacious and well adorned hotel set in an absolutely wonderful location.
The Bowood's setting in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside and stunning parkland is a perfect location offering a wealth of woodland and lawns, a tranquil lake and beautiful terraces.
The hotel features a luxury spa with superb facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, rock sauna, crystal steam room, aroma therapy shower, relaxation room and treatment rooms.
The decor is both contemporary and very stylish and all rooms have plasma tv's and free Wi-Fi.

There are two restaurants to suite all tastes the Shelburne and the Clubhouse, two lounges with log fires and a bar The indoor pool is gorgeous with beautiful views over the Bowood Hotel's championship golf course.
The Bowood is also a perfect base to explore the nearby Cotswold's and is located less than 5 miles from the centre of Chippenham and 4 miles from Calne.
