Farm Houses and Cottages.
This type of self catering holiday offers unique locations with sometimes some very exclusive features. Many farm cottages are on small actual working farms either as an original farm cottage or more modern specially built / converted farm cottages and houses. Some of the farm barn conversions are absolutely amazing with luxury decor and hot tubs. For the remote lovers there's always a converted shepard's hut with open fire and solar lighting.
There's also very family atmosphere farm holiday cottages, where the owners live next door and tame animals roam everywhere. Some farms have built several properties on the land specifically for holiday lets. Sort of a farm mini camp.
While for larger families or those planning a group or celebration event accommodation, there are some pretty big properties with great features and exclusive luxury.
Be as remote as you wish alongside a rambling brook or in a local village, whatever your taste there will be farm style accommodation to suit. There are family orientated places to those for couples and romantic getaways. Some locations are extremely peaceful and no loud music or partying allowed, while there are other cottages where parties and music are no problem so make sure of any exclusions before booking. There are some obvious exclusions as far as dogs are concerned where there are farm animals roaming though there are many where a behaved dog is no problem. So please do check before booking.
Like all country cottages, one of the most enjoyable features are the locations. Often set deep in the beautiful rolling countryside or surrounded by woods and lakes. There's ample opportunity to roam or hike through the country wilderness or visit local historical sites and towns.
