Where to take the pet dog in main Cornwall.
If the seaside is not the thing that gets that tail wagging, think about a retreat to the heart of Cornwall with wide open spaces to run totally free to set that tail wagging.
Obviously, many hounds and owners have different desires for the ideal holiday. While some dogs may be delighted with a small enclosed garden, some ball throwing, the odd exploring walkies and a cozy room to curl up in, others may need a more active beach romp and a swim or exciting wooded countryside explorations. Also bear in mind that in some locations their might be close neighbours also with their dog/s. So important to consider how the dogs will interact, even if only constantly barking at each other. If your fido is inclined to maybe fight other dogs, then obviously a family park or other communal / adjoined holiday homes would not be advisable.
We hope with the help of our reviews you can find the ideal holiday location to suit everyone.

There's some lovely dog friendly holiday properties around places like Padstow which is a small fishing town on the estuary or the unspoiled beaches and heaths of Polzeath, many of which can be truly classed as luxurious.
Bodmin Moor is a favourite of dogs with loads of play and sniffing places.
Communities like Bude and Perranporth offer plenty of sandy beaches, dunes and heath land. So seek a pet friendly place around these areas if your hairy chum likes to get sandy.
St Ives is possibly one of the most popular holiday location in Cornwall and though during all tourist seasons, some beaches like beautiful Carbis Bay are out of bounds for dogs, there are many coves and inlets where dogs are welcomed all year like Lambeth beach or Bamalux.
Whether it's salty water, beaches, wild dunes, rolling hillsides or remote heaths dressed in heather, Cornwall offers so much for everyone dogs included.

Most important though is to fully check out any policies applicable to your chosen holiday rental and local area as this may vary from property to property. For instance, there may be a 'no pets on furniture' clause or limit to only one dog allowed.
