The Best Time of Year for Visiting Mongolia.
In Mongolia, because of its central continental location, temperatures are extreme. From December through February temperatures sink to the low minuses. Spring and autumn are subject to variable weather and hover between freezing and temperatures of around 9 degrees Celsius. June to August temperatures typically hit mid twenties with the odd storm. Famous Nadaam festivals, on the other hand, usually take place in July — a great time to visit while always being sure to book transport and accommodations ahead of time.

Mongolia is famous for its overland travel and the country is part of the famous railway routes such as the Trans Mongolian. So many will enter the country overland.
