If there’s ever been a garden of Eden, this Is It. If you have the budget for an very exclusive stay in Port Antonio, then this is definitely the place to go. Its a truly luxurious oasis in a great location with ocean-front villas and terraces overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Add the private beach area, a well equipped gym, spacious rooms, infinity pool and a spa to make this a luxury experience.
Located on the Anchovy main road seven minutes from Port Antonio center and just 4.5 km from Frenchman Cove’s Beach, the Trident has thirteen ocean front villas in lush retreats. The overall theme blends modern design with artwork and décor inspired from the 60's era. Capturing a simplistic harmonized ambience with hand selected pieces of furniture, artwork and bold accent pieces. All with the facilities of a hotel but the luxury of privacy in your own home away from home. Rooms are air conditioned of course with flat-screen cable TV and free Wi-Fi. a fridge and a kettle. Some of the villas even have their own private plunge pool and bathtub. The fitness center is one of the best we have seen in a Jamaican hotel, very spacious and fitted with latest equipment and fitness machines.
The Trident's restaurant serves an la carte breakfast and lunch with dinner over live jazz at the hotels Mike’s Supper Club.
The Veranda is a splendid area that overlooks the infinity pool as it blends into the coast. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch or small plate service during the day while relaxing to the wondrous views and the warmth of the shaded Caribbean sun. Saturday evening is live entertainment night, other than that, the resort is at peace and tranquil. Just a 10 minute taxi drive away is the town with many bars and restaurants.
One can relax on the private beach or in the wonderful infinity pool, all with bar service. There's also a children’s area with on-site supervision.
For the adventurous, there is plenty to see and do around the area or in Port Antonio town center. There's natural attractions like the Blue Lagoon, Rio Grande River rafting and Somerset and Reach waterfalls all not far away.
And for additional fees, there are a team of drivers for commuting, excursions or errands. We highly recommend the Trident for its location, style and simple luxury. |
