"Fantastic Honeymoon, overall, it was a fantastic and relaxing stay. It was our first time at a Sandals resort, and we would definitely return to Ochi and are interested in visiting other Sandals resorts"
"Highly Recommended. We could not speak anymore highly of this resort! The staff, food, and activities are amazing! They staff makes you feel like royalty!! It is a clean and safe resort! I highly recommend this resort!!!"
"A perfect vacation! We chose Sandal Ochi for our 15th visit to Jamaica (second visit to sandals Ochi) and they did not disappoint in any way"
"Nothing luxury about this resort. The property could be categorized as fair. Also, what type of all-inclusive tells you that room service isn’t included? I guess they forgot the 'all' part. Under impressed here."
"Incredible holiday with everything first class. The service and bed quality we're excellent"
"Okay but... Outdated & Overated The hotel was nice but not worth the cost. The resort was a bit outdates and had paint chipping"
Sandals Ochi is truly amazing and one of the top couples only places to be in Jamaica. The resort has no less than 16 trendy resteraunts and eleven bars. The resort which spreads over 100 lush green acres offers a serene escape in its Garden of Eden.
Every dining experiences at Sandals Ochi has been designed to please both the palate and sense of romance. Using the finest ingrediants, the chefs create authentic specialties such as Italian, Asian, Mediterranean, Caribbean, Jamaican, and more. The choices of dining locations allow couples to dine directly on the beach, over the water, on a seaside terrace or atop the hillside, all butler or waiter service of course.
This very exclusive resort like all Sandals resorts, ranks at the top for sheer luxury, location and service for couples.
You have choice of three differnt rates. Luxury, Club and Butler levels
And with rates starting from just $194 PP/PN, this is a great place to experience possibly the most memorable romantic get away ever.
For activities you can swim, sail, snorkel, or just relax by the pool. Do some yoga, Pilates or get in a workout at the state-of-the-art fitness center or hit the court for a game of tennis. Of course, you can choose to do nothing at all and soak in the luxury under an azule caribbean sky.
Summary:
With 8,500+ guests rating Sandals Ochi as very good to excellent, one would say thats recommendation enough. However there are always negative reviews, as they say 'you can please some people some of the time, but not all people all the time'.
But seeing over 1400 average to terrible negative reviews is a very disscouraging high percentage for a resort of Sandals upper market standing. We also note that the Sandals management do not engage in reply to their guest reviews. A company that cares about creating an 'exclusive' image for their luxury resorts should certainly engage with guests, even if only for damage control of bad reviews.
In all fairness though for any resort of this size, the logistics of management are complex, especially when the resort is offering an exclusive luxury service over such a large complex. Sandals do their best but, this is Jamaica and sometimes things dont go according to plan.
Overall, Sandals Ochi is great value especially if you can catch one of their special offers which run often.
This is a Non-Smoking Hotel, though the extensive grounds provide some freedom.
Do watch out for 'up sells' Like being greeted with a bottle of wine - that you have to pay for, not such a good 'all inclusive' greeting is it?
There is so much to say about exclusive Sandals resorts, because theres so much to see and experience, but for a couples only romantic vacation or honeymoon on the beach, this place is heaven and so much more, I doubt you will ever feel the need to go off site, until the sad day of goodbye and journey to the airport, back to real lifes daily grind.
