With a trip to Mexico, you get what you give. Take the time to get under the skin of this incredible country, and you can be sure it’ll get under yours.
You’ll never run out of things to do in Mexico, a country boasting extensive coastlines, unique cuisine, artistic and archaeological lures, amazing history, beautiful scenery and sunshine. As one of the most popular tourist destinations on the planet, it is important that Mexico has many strings to its bow. Fantastic historic cities like Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey will give you a great flavour of Mexican culture and food, archaeological sites like Chichen Itza, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, and Teotihuacan display examples of Mexico’s previous occupants, while wonderful resorts like Acapulco and Cancun will allow you to enjoy all the delights of a coastal retreat.
Mexico’s attractions are vast and you’ll discover a variety of unique and exciting

There are countless festivals and events spread across the country which capture the vibrancy and devotion of Mexico. One of the most famous is the Day of the Dead celebration which takes place on November 1st-2nd. The festival marks the celebration and remembrance of deceased relatives and friends in the form of some beautiful processions.
The Veracruz Carnival is another colourful display of Mexican celebration. Flamboyant parades are combined with dance shows, musical performances and lots of drinking. The event lasts for nine days and is the country’s biggest carnival.
Festival de Mexico is another captivating party that visitors should try to catch. It is a celebration of performances arts, hosting dance, music, theatre and opera across 50 venues in the capital city. The festival takes place in mid-March and lasts for two weeks.

Wine & Dine.
As delicious as the Mexican cuisine is at restaurants in the UK, it won’t come anywhere near the levels of flavour and aroma that you’ll find embedded in the dishes across the eateries of Mexico. The cuisine is as diverse as it is tasty, varying across each region of the country, but always specialising in a delicious combination of flavours. The old favourites will be on offer, such as tacos, enchiladas and quesadillas, while many lesser-known dishes will also tempt your taste buds. You’ll become accustomed with tacos al pastor in Mexico City, a delicious street eat available in most lively areas of the city. Pozole is another great dish, with its stew-like consistency and wonderfully succulent chicken and pork which is left simmering overnight – the flavour is incredible. One of the best places to try the dish in Mexico City is El Cardenal – a superb restaurant in the middle of the city.
Of course you can’t leave Mexico without sampling their range of tequilas. Tenampa Salon is a wonderful and equally traditional joint where you can have a tipple or two of Mexico’s most famous whistle-wetter.

This county should have a firm place on any culture-lover’s destination wish list, especially those interested in archaeological gems and beautiful architecture. The cultural and historical aspects of Mexico’s attractions are rife in the capital city. Mexico City is full of interesting landmarks, buildings and museums. The city’s main square, Plaza de la Constitucion, is one of the largest in the world and is home to some stunning architecture, most notably found in the form of the city’s cathedral. Basilica de Guadalupe is another site of religious interest and is considered the holiest place in the America’s for Catholics. The city is also home to some great museums including the National Museum of Anthropology and the Fine Arts Palace Museum. The archaeological sites are of particular interest in this country, especially those based around the Mayan civilisation. The most important and significant of all the sites is the incredible Chichen Itza complex. The famous pyramid, El Castillo, is the most important and memorable landmark in this ancient city. Other notable Mayan sites include Teotihuacan, Palenque and the beautiful coastal ruins of Tulum.

Family Fun.
Mexico is a fantastic destination for family holidays, especially around the coastal areas and within Mexico City.
One of the best destinations for water-filled fun is around the famous Cancun area. This popular beach setting has beautiful and clear Caribbean waters awaiting your family’s presence. Snorkeling is a great activity to partake in here, with you and the kids getting the chance to spot weird and wonderful inhabitants of this beautiful ocean. You can also get up close to some dolphins during your visit to Cancun through the means of a dolphin-spotting trip.
One of the best things to do in Mexico if you have children with you is to pay a visit to Six Flags Mexico. This amusement park is the largest in Latin American and is home to countless rides suitable for all ages and bravery limits.

Action and Adventure.
There are a number of things to do in Cancun that will make your holiday a true adventure, whether it's taking a speedboat tour across the Nichupte Lagoon or tackling the largest zip line circuit in North America. Explore the ancient capital of the Mayan Empire on a day tour to Chichen Itza, which is one of Mexico's most important archaeological sites and an area of intrigue for visitors. Snorkeling and diving beneath the crystalline waters are another action-packed activity for Cancun visitors. Visit the Museo Subacuatico de Arte for a truly unique undersea tour of over 400 life-size sculptures lurking below the waves.

Economy of Mexico:
Mexico is one of the most important economies in Latin America, and its economy is characterized by its export of petroleum and other natural resources, as well as its strong manufacturing sector. Its total GDP (Gross Domestic Product) is the 15th largest in the world according to the World Bank, and it is the second largest economy in Latin America after Brazil.

Mexico is a member of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and a founding member of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). As such, it is an important trading partner with the United States, Canada, and other countries in Central and South America. The country has a large population, making it an attractive market for foreign investors and businesses.

The Mexican economy is heavily reliant on exports to the United States. The majority of Mexico’s exports are manufactured goods such as cars, electronics, and machinery. The country also exports agricultural products, including coffee, fruits, and vegetables. This export-oriented economy has helped Mexico to achieve economic growth and stability over the years.

In recent years, Mexico has made efforts to diversify its economy and reduce its dependence on the United States. It has encouraged domestic consumption and investment, as well as foreign direct investment. It has also implemented a series of reforms, such as tax cuts and labor market reforms, to improve its competitiveness in the international market.

The Mexican economy is expected to continue to grow in the coming years, as the country works to diversify its economy and attract foreign investment. Mexico is well-positioned to benefit from the global economy, and its strong economic performance will likely continue in the future.
